To achieve a larger flame, use a needle nose pliers (not included) to gently wiggle the wick out further, which will lessen the burn time. If there is remaining fuel after use, it is recommended to seal the wick (a baggie can be used) to prevent fuel evaporation. The candles should be stored in a protected environment away from extreme temperatures.

To use the candles, simply remove the 1.5-inch (3.8cm) diameter lid on the liquid wax candle, and ignite the wick with a long match or long handled lighter. When finished using, extinguish the candle by blowing it out, and replace the cap. Allow the candle to cool before handling. The candles can be reused until the liquid votive fuel cell is empty. The can has a 3.25-inch diameter and 4.4-inch height (8.3cm x 11.2cm), which makes it easy to fit in any prepping supplies bag, trunk, or storage area.
The fuel for these liquid wax fuel cells is made of liquid paraffin, which means the votive oil lights are smokeless, odorless, and soot-free.
